Jones County Middle Schools Summer Reading List

Students are encouraged to read at least one book by the suggested authors during their Summer Break.  An assignment will be given within the first two weeks of school from their Summer reading book.

2016 Softball Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2016 CRMS Softball team will be held August 9-11.  Any student trying out must have an updated physical on file by August 9.  A copy of the physical form is located on the Athletics web page.

Get Georgia Reading partner myON is delivering more than 10,400 free books to computer and mobile devices that you can access 24 hours a day—every day—through Aug. 31. Last year, kids read over 100,000 books.  This year, as you’ll see in the story under “Ready, Set, Read” — the Get Georgia Reading Campaign is challenging Georgia to double that number.

Parents Right to Know
Parent's Right to Know

In compliance with the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) the Jones County School System informs parents that you may request the following information about the professional qualifications of your student's teacher(s). The following information may be requested:
  • Whether the teachers has met the Georgia Professional Standards Commission requirements for certification for the grade level and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
  • Whether the teacher is teaching under an emergency or other provisional status through which Georgia qualifications or certification criteria have been waived.
  • The college major and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher.
  • Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so, their qualifications.

If you wish to request information concerning your child's teacher's qualifications, please contact Mr. Charles E. Lundy, Jr., the principal of Clifton Ridge Middle School.
